Royal Air Force Reserves Team

Following tragedy earlier in the year we're delighted to report that the Royal Air Force Reserves Honda Team achieved some great results with Peter Hickman delivering the team’s most successful weekend ever in MCE British Superbikes.

Race one was initially subject to a delayed start due to rain, but after being declared a dry race the action got underway with Hickman getting caught up in a crowded pack into the first corner, dropping to eighth position. Despite that Hickman rode superbly in changing conditions, fighting his way into sixth spot before the race was red flagged after 11 laps and the result was called, meaning Hickman had once again delivered RAF Reserves Hondas best ever race finish in British Superbikes.

Race two was certainly one to remember for Peter Hickman and the Royal Air Force Reserves Team. After being declared a wet race Peter made an impressive start, jumping from fifth to second position by the first bend. Before the opening lap was complete Hickman had made his way into top spot and set about opening up an impressive gap over the current championship leader. As the race progressed, so did Hickman’s lead on the Fireblade and riding solidly in difficult conditions he bought the Honda home in triumphant fashion to claim his and the team’s first ever victory in British Superbikes - A huge achievement for Peter and the entire Royal Air Force Reserves Honda Team.
